Feedyio: Product XML Feeds vs GG Simple CSVfor Shopify (2026)
Feedyio: Product XML Feeds and GG Simple CSV serve different but complementary needs for Shopify merchants. Feedyio is geared towards exporting product information to external marketplaces and shopping engines, handling complex feed generation in various formats like XML, CSV, and TXT. It supports multi-language and multi-currency functionality through Shopify Markets, making it ideal for international businesses. GG Simple CSV, on the other hand, focuses on importing product data *into* Shopify from CSV files, prioritizing ease of use for tasks like updating prices or stock levels. The core difference lies in their direction of data flow. Feedyio pushes product data *out* to external platforms, while GG Simple CSV pulls product data *in* from CSV files. While Feedyio offers pre-defined templates and customizations for feed attributes, GG Simple CSV boasts a simple interface for field mapping and product previewing before import. Therefore, the choice depends on whether a merchant needs robust export capabilities or a streamlined import process. Both apps are well-rated, but Feedyio has a significantly larger review base, suggesting wider adoption and potentially more battle-tested functionality.

Our Verdict
For merchants primarily focused on expanding their reach by listing products on external platforms like Google Shopping, Facebook, or Pinterest, Feedyio: Product XML Feeds is the clear choice. Its multi-language and multi-currency support is especially beneficial for businesses selling internationally. The ability to create custom feeds gives flexibility for platforms with unique requirements.
However, if a merchant's primary need is efficiently updating product data (like prices or stock levels) in bulk from CSV files, GG Simple CSV offers a more streamlined and user-friendly solution. Its simplicity is a significant advantage for those less technically inclined or who require a quick and easy import process. While Feedyio *can* export to CSV, its strength lies in its broader feed management capabilities, making it overkill for simple import needs.
