Our Verdict
If you are a Shopify merchant looking to list your products on various marketplaces and shopping platforms like Google Shopping, Facebook, or Pinterest, Feedyio is the better choice. Its predefined templates, multi-language support, and custom feed creation capabilities will streamline the process of getting your products in front of more customers. The higher rating and review count further support this recommendation.
However, if you are a supplier with products to sell and are looking to connect with retailers who might carry your products, Modalyst is the clear winner. Its supplier-focused tools, retailer network, and simplified order management system are specifically designed to facilitate these connections and streamline the wholesale process. While the rating is slightly lower, it directly addresses the needs of suppliers seeking to expand their distribution network.
Common Questions
Which app is better for a dropshipping store?
Neither app is explicitly designed for dropshipping. Feedyio focuses on exporting existing product data to marketplaces, while Modalyst connects suppliers with retailers. A dropshipping store might indirectly benefit from Feedyio if it's listing products sourced from suppliers who use Modalyst, but it wouldn't directly use Modalyst itself.
Can I use both apps simultaneously?
It's unlikely that a single merchant would need both apps. A merchant selling their own products would primarily use Feedyio to list their products on various platforms. A supplier selling to retailers would use Modalyst. There's little overlap in their core functionality.
Does Feedyio handle inventory synchronization?
The description mentions 'automatically sync with your product catalog' which implies Feedyio syncs product information. If the product is sold out on Shopify, the synced marketplaces should be updated as well.
What marketplaces does Feedyio support?
Feedyio explicitly mentions support for Google, Facebook, and Pinterest. It also integrates with Heureka, Zbozi.cz, and Arukereso. The app also has a general template, so it could support more platforms.
How easy is it to use Modalyst for suppliers?
The description highlights the supplier dashboard and catalog tool, which suggests that Modalyst is designed to be user-friendly for suppliers to manage their products and orders. However, more reviews would give a better idea on usability.
How does Modalyst handle payments to Suppliers?
The description does not explicitly mention how payments are handled. Further research within Modalyst's documentation or contacting support is recommended.
