Feedyio: Product XML Feeds vs Omnivore for Marketplacesfor Shopify (2026)
Feedyio: Product XML Feeds and Omnivore for Marketplaces both aim to help Shopify merchants sell online through external channels, but they approach the problem from different angles. Feedyio focuses on creating and managing product feeds, primarily for shopping catalogs and price comparison sites, offering customizable feeds in various formats like XML, CSV, and TXT. It particularly emphasizes multi-language and multi-currency support through Shopify Markets and provides predefined feed templates. In contrast, Omnivore directly connects Shopify stores to marketplaces, streamlining listing, synchronization, and order management across platforms like Amazon, eBay, Trade Me, Kogan, Google Shopping, and Temu, focusing on the AU & NZ markets. Feedyio is positioned as a tool for merchants who need granular control over their product data and feeds for diverse advertising and comparison shopping platforms, particularly those selling internationally with Shopify Markets. Omnivore, on the other hand, targets ambitious brands in Australia and New Zealand seeking rapid expansion across multiple marketplaces with simplified listing and order management and aims to eliminate the complexity of integrations by providing a single dashboard. While Feedyio is more about managing data feeds for advertising, Omnivore is about direct integration and management across key marketplaces.

Our Verdict
For Shopify merchants who require comprehensive control over their product feed data and need to manage feeds for a wide range of shopping catalogs and comparison sites, especially those operating in multiple languages and currencies using Shopify Markets, Feedyio: Product XML Feeds is the better choice. Its flexibility in creating custom feeds and support for various formats provides the necessary customization options.
However, if a merchant's primary goal is to expand rapidly into major marketplaces within Australia and New Zealand (AU & NZ) with a streamlined, easy-to-manage solution, Omnivore for Marketplaces is the superior option. Its focus on marketplace integration, real-time syncing, and centralized order management simplifies the process of selling across multiple channels and reduces the administrative burden, especially with its expert support teams.
Common Questions
Which app is better for selling on Google Shopping?
Both apps support Google Shopping. Feedyio allows you to create a customized product feed for Google Shopping, offering greater control over your data. Omnivore simplifies the process by directly connecting your Shopify store to Google Shopping and managing listings and inventory.
Which app is easier to use for a beginner?
Omnivore is generally considered easier to use for beginners due to its focus on simplified marketplace integration and centralized dashboard. Feedyio requires more technical knowledge to customize feeds and manage data attributes.
Which app is more cost-effective for a small store?
The cost-effectiveness depends on the specific pricing structures of each app (which are not provided). You need to compare their pricing plans based on your product catalog size and sales volume. However, Omnivore's integrated features might provide more value by simplifying the overall marketplace sales process compared to Feedyio which may require external integrations to achieve a similar outcome.
Does Feedyio directly list products on marketplaces, like Amazon?
No, Feedyio focuses on generating product feeds that can be used on various platforms, including marketplaces like Amazon. It does not directly list or manage products on these platforms. Omnivore provides direct integration with marketplaces.
Which app provides better support for selling in multiple languages?
Feedyio explicitly mentions multi-language support through Shopify Markets, making it the better choice for managing product feeds for different language versions of your store. Omnivore does not explicitly state multi-language support in its description, but its focus on the AU & NZ markets suggests it may not be as comprehensive in this area.
