Feesly: Surcharge & Fees (POS) vs Mercado Pago Ordena checkoutsfor Shopify (2026)
Feesly: Surcharge & Fees (POS) and Mercado Pago Ordena checkouts are both Shopify apps in the 'Pricing' category, but cater to vastly different needs. Feesly focuses on managing and applying surcharges and fees specifically within a Point of Sale (POS) environment. Its strength lies in simplifying fee management directly on POS devices, allowing merchants to quickly apply pre-configured charges. It targets merchants who need to add fees at the point of sale, like handling fees or service charges, and require reporting on those fees. Mercado Pago Ordena checkouts, on the other hand, centers around optimizing the checkout experience, specifically prioritizing Mercado Pago as a payment option. Unlike Feesly, which deals with adding costs, Mercado Pago Ordena focuses on influencing payment method selection. The audience is Shopify stores already using Mercado Pago. While both reside in the 'Pricing' category, one is concerned with additional charges and reporting (Feesly), while the other deals with checkout optimization and payment provider prioritization (Mercado Pago Ordena).

Our Verdict
For merchants needing to manage and report on fees applied at the Point of Sale, Feesly: Surcharge & Fees (POS) is the more appropriate choice. Its focus on POS integration and fee configuration caters directly to this need. However, the low review count should be considered.
If the goal is to promote Mercado Pago as a payment method and potentially improve sales approval rates, Mercado Pago Ordena checkouts is the better option. However, the extremely low review count (only 2) makes it difficult to gauge the app's reliability and effectiveness. Merchants heavily reliant on in-person sales requiring surcharge management should opt for Feesly. Stores already using Mercado Pago that want to influence payment method selection should consider Mercado Pago Ordena, but with caution due to the limited feedback.
