Our Verdict
For merchants prioritizing control over their supply chain, branding, and long-term scalability, particularly with sourcing from China, FFOrder Dropshipping is likely the better choice. Its direct factory access, branding options, and dedicated account managers provide a more hands-on approach to building a robust supply chain. However, for retailers seeking to quickly expand their product catalog and streamline the onboarding process for new brands, Modern Dropship, powered by Carro, offers a more efficient and automated solution. Its easy integration with various platforms and curated vendor network makes it ideal for merchants focused on rapid growth and product diversification.
Common Questions
What level of supply chain control does each app offer?
FFOrder Dropshipping offers significantly more control with direct factory access, quality control inspections, and dedicated account managers. Modern Dropship provides less direct control, relying on its curated vendor network and automated processes.
Which app is easier to set up and integrate with Shopify?
Modern Dropship appears easier to set up, especially for onboarding brands already integrated with Shopify, Magento, BigCommerce, or WooCommerce. FFOrder's setup likely involves more steps to establish a direct supply chain relationship.
Which app is better for merchants interested in custom branding?
FFOrder Dropshipping explicitly offers flexible branding with low-MOQ labeling and custom packaging. Modern Dropship does not highlight custom branding options.
Which app is better for finding new and trending products?
Modern Dropship is better positioned for discovering new and trending products through its Carro-powered platform and curated vendor network. FFOrder focuses more on establishing and managing existing product lines.
What if I want to sell products outside of the US, EU, Brazil, and Southeast Asia?
While FFOrder specifies fulfillment capabilities to these regions, Modern Dropship doesn't specify their regions. Depending on the brands available in the Carro network, Modern Dropship may offer fulfillment to additional areas, but this would need to be investigated. Further research into Modern Dropship's shipping coverage would be necessary.
