FieldsRaven vs ProductVogue ‑ Custom Optionsfor Shopify (2026)
FieldsRaven and ProductVogue ‑ Custom Options both target merchants looking to leverage metafields on their Shopify stores, but their approaches differ significantly. FieldsRaven positions itself as a highly flexible tool for creating complex customer journeys and personalized theme experiences through direct manipulation of metafields using Liquid, HTML, and JavaScript. It's aimed at developers or merchants with development resources who need maximum control over their storefront's data collection and display. In contrast, ProductVogue ‑ Custom Options focuses specifically on enhancing product detail pages with custom fields organized within accordions. It provides a more user-friendly interface for adding image, video, and text options without requiring coding knowledge. The fundamental difference lies in their target user and the complexity they offer. FieldsRaven is a developer-centric app that prioritizes flexibility and control, while ProductVogue ‑ Custom Options caters to merchants seeking a simple way to add custom information to product pages using a visual interface and pre-built element types like accordions and image/video embeds. While FieldsRaven focuses on unlocking the broader potential of metafields and custom data collection, ProductVogue offers a more targeted solution for enriching product details.

Our Verdict
For merchants with development resources and a need for highly customized data collection and theme personalization, FieldsRaven is the clear choice. Its ability to directly manipulate metafields using Liquid, HTML, and JS provides unparalleled flexibility. However, the lack of reviews at the time of writing does warrant a cautious approach.
On the other hand, ProductVogue ‑ Custom Options is better suited for merchants who want to quickly and easily add custom information to their product detail pages without writing any code. Its user-friendly interface and pre-built element types make it a simple and effective solution for enhancing product presentation. While it lacks any reviews to validate its claims of excellent support and ease of setup, the feature list strongly suggests a solution for non-developers. The zero rating must be considered with caution, as it's based on a lack of reviews, not necessarily negative reviews.
