Our Verdict
For merchants prioritizing advanced storefront customization and data-driven experiences, 'Metafields Guru' is the clear recommendation. Its high rating, numerous positive reviews, and feature set focused on metafield management make it a compelling choice. The 'no-code' storefront display and data migration capabilities are especially valuable. Given the extremely limited data on 'File Manager ‑ Custom Folders', and its low rating, it's difficult to recommend it without more information.
However, if a merchant simply needs basic file organization within Shopify and finds 'File Manager ‑ Custom Folders' sufficient, it might suffice. But considering the cost of switching apps later, and the comprehensive feature set of 'Metafields Guru', starting with the higher-rated, more feature-rich app is generally a safer bet, even if all its features aren't immediately utilized.
