Filljoy Order Catch Weights vs Recheck Order Editing + Upsellfor Shopify (2026)
Filljoy Order Catch Weights and Recheck Order Editing + Upsell both offer order editing capabilities on Shopify, evidenced by their shared category. However, they cater to distinctly different segments of the Shopify merchant ecosystem. Filljoy Order Catch Weights is laser-focused on merchants selling products by catch weight – specifically those dealing with items like meats, seafood, and produce. Its value proposition centers around enabling precise order fulfillment based on actual weight, addressing the common challenge of over or undercharging for variable-weight items. It features precise weight input and editing for both paid and draft orders. Recheck Order Editing + Upsell, conversely, isn't defined through information beyond being an app for order editing and its name indicates an aim to provide tools to upsell. While both apps boast a perfect 5/5 rating, Recheck Order Editing + Upsell has a higher review count (11) compared to Filljoy Order Catch Weights (3), suggesting potentially wider adoption or at least more user feedback. The lack of detailed feature information for Recheck Order Editing + Upsell makes a direct feature-by-feature comparison challenging. For merchants specifically struggling with catch weights, Filljoy’s tailored solution is much more compelling.

Our Verdict
For merchants selling products by catch weight, Filljoy Order Catch Weights is the clear choice. Its features are specifically designed to address the unique challenges of fulfilling orders with variable-weight items. The incompatibility with Shopify Local Delivery is a drawback to consider, but if local delivery isn't a crucial part of your business, this is not impactful.
Recheck Order Editing + Upsell may be a more general-purpose order editing solution with potential upsell capabilities, appealing to a broader audience. However, without detailed information on its specific features, it's difficult to recommend definitively. Merchants with catch weight products would be better served by an app designed for their needs, until further features are revealed for Recheck Order Editing + Upsell.
