Filljoy Order Catch Weights vs Shopwaive Credit, Loyalty & AIfor Shopify (2026)
Filljoy Order Catch Weights and Shopwaive Credit, Loyalty & AI, while both allowing order editing, cater to vastly different needs within the Shopify ecosystem. Filljoy targets a niche market of merchants selling products by catch weight, such as butchers, fishmongers, and produce vendors. Its strength lies in its focused functionality: enabling precise weight and price adjustments during order fulfillment, ensuring accurate billing for difficult-to-portion items. The app directly addresses the problem of over or undercharging customers when selling by average weight. However, it's important to note its incompatibility with Shopify Local Delivery. Shopwaive, on the other hand, is a comprehensive platform focused on enhancing customer loyalty and providing flexible payment options. Its features extend far beyond simple order editing, encompassing store credits, gift cards, loyalty programs, AI-powered business advice, and integrations with numerous third-party apps. Shopwaive aims to provide a more complete, enterprise-level solution, which may appeal to businesses seeking broader customer engagement and payment processing capabilities. It supports headless commerce and B2B workflows, indicating a more sophisticated feature set and target demographic than Filljoy.

Our Verdict
The choice between Filljoy Order Catch Weights and Shopwaive Credit, Loyalty & AI depends heavily on the merchant's specific needs. Filljoy is the clear choice for businesses selling products by catch weight, requiring precise order fulfillment based on actual weights. Its focused functionality directly addresses a specific pain point for this niche. The lack of Shopify Local Delivery integration is a major consideration if that’s important to your business.
Shopwaive is better suited for larger businesses or those with broader needs around customer loyalty, flexible payments, and AI-powered business insights. Its comprehensive feature set and integrations offer a more complete solution for customer engagement and payment processing. It's a more complex application but likely provides more long-term value to a wider variety of stores outside of catch weight specific product fulfilment
