Our Verdict
Finaloop is the better choice for Shopify merchants looking for a complete accounting solution that includes inventory management as part of a broader financial strategy. Its full-service approach with expert accountants and real-time financial dashboards makes it ideal for businesses needing comprehensive financial visibility and tax compliance. NASP Connected Inventory is suitable for merchants with specific inventory synchronization needs, especially those selling bundles or managing inventory across multiple variants or locations. However, given its lower rating and narrow focus, it may only be sufficient for businesses with simpler accounting requirements who need to ensure accurate stock counts of linked products.
Common Questions
What level of accounting expertise is needed to use each app?
Finaloop is designed to be used by merchants with little to no accounting expertise, as it provides a full-service solution with expert accountants. NASP Connected Inventory focuses solely on inventory synchronization and likely requires a basic understanding of inventory management principles.
Which app is better for a small business owner just starting out?
If the small business owner is not familiar with accounting and/or managing inventory, and wants full service accounting, Finaloop will be their best bet. NASP Inventory is more for the owner with some accounting knowledge that primarily needs to synchronize inventory.
Which app is better for managing inventory across multiple Shopify stores?
Neither app explicitly mentions support for multiple Shopify stores, but Finaloop's broader accounting focus may indirectly support this through consolidated financial reporting. NASP Connected Inventory focuses on inventory synchronization within a single store.
Does either app help with demand forecasting?
Neither app explicitly mentions demand forecasting. Finaloop's financial dashboards might provide data to inform demand forecasting, but NASP Connected Inventory solely addresses inventory synchronization.
Which app is more expensive?
The provided information does not include pricing details. Finaloop's full-service approach likely comes at a higher cost than NASP Connected Inventory's focused inventory synchronization functionality, however, this is speculative.
