Firebear Import & Export Tool vs Selling Pointfor Shopify (2026)
Firebear Import & Export Tool and Selling Point are both Shopify apps that fall under the 'Selling Online' and 'Store Data Importer' categories, but they serve vastly different purposes. Firebear is a general-purpose data migration and management tool designed for merchants needing to import and export a wide variety of data, including products, customers, and orders, using common file formats and integration with services like Google Drive and FTP. Its key focus is on automation and AI-powered mapping to streamline data workflows. Selling Point, on the other hand, is laser-focused on migrating gift cards and store credit from other platforms to Shopify. It addresses a very specific pain point, offering a simplified solution for merchants transitioning from other POS systems or websites, or those looking to enhance their marketing promotions with bulk gift card generation. The primary difference lies in their scope. Firebear aims to be a comprehensive data management solution, whereas Selling Point is a specialized tool designed for a niche need. Firebear's AI-driven mapping and scheduling capabilities suggest a more complex setup, potentially requiring more technical expertise to fully utilize. Selling Point emphasizes ease of use and immediate value for merchants needing to migrate gift card data. The significant difference in user ratings and number of reviews also indicates a higher level of user satisfaction and wider adoption for Selling Point within its target audience.

Our Verdict
Merchants seeking a broad solution for importing and exporting various types of Shopify data, especially those comfortable with more technical configurations and requiring automation, might consider Firebear Import & Export Tool, despite its lower rating and fewer reviews. However, merchants primarily concerned with migrating gift cards or store credit from another platform or POS system should definitively choose Selling Point. Its perfect rating and significant user base indicate a higher level of user satisfaction and a more straightforward experience for its specific use case. The niche focus and simplified approach of Selling Point make it the superior choice for gift card and store credit related migrations and promotions.
