Our Verdict
For B2B businesses or those with a significant physical retail presence using Shopify POS, Fish Wishlist is the stronger choice due to its tailored B2B features and seamless POS integration. The availability of white-glove installation suggests a commitment to supporting larger or more complex implementations. Conversely, GoWish is better suited for general retailers who want to tap into the gifting market and expand their reach through a global wishlist network. However, the lack of reviews for GoWish raises concerns about its current usability and reliability compared to Fish Wishlist, which enjoys a perfect rating albeit from a small sample size.
Common Questions
Which app is easier to set up?
Both apps claim easy setup. Fish Wishlist suggests 2 minutes, while GoWish suggests under 5 minutes. Given the simple description of each, they both have similar onboarding experiences but are both reliant on those numbers being accurate. Fish Wishlist offers white-glove install if preferred.
Which app is better for B2B businesses?
Fish Wishlist is the better choice for B2B businesses due to features like Request a Quote, B2B pricing, and Draft Order integration. GoWish's focus on gifting is less directly relevant to B2B needs.
Does either app integrate with Shopify POS?
Yes, Fish Wishlist explicitly states integration with Shopify POS, allowing merchants to manage wishlists, purchase history, and abandoned carts in-store. GoWish does not mention POS integration.
Which app focuses more on leveraging social networks?
While both apps allow wishlist sharing, GoWish emphasizes leveraging a global wishlist network, which inherently relies on social sharing. Fish Wishlist also uses social proof widgets for additional sales impact.
How do I choose between these two apps in 2026 if GoWish still has 0 reviews?
If GoWish still has zero reviews, proceed with extreme caution. Prioritize Fish Wishlist due to its proven functionality and positive (albeit limited) feedback. Thoroughly research GoWish through external sources, looking for case studies or independent reviews, before making a decision.
