Fish Wishlist vs Pro Wishlistfor Shopify (2026)
Fish Wishlist and Pro Wishlist both aim to provide Shopify merchants with wishlist functionality, but they appear to target different segments with vastly differing levels of maturity and proven reliability. Fish Wishlist positions itself as a comprehensive omnichannel solution suitable for both B2C and B2B businesses, offering advanced features such as POS integration, B2B pricing, request-a-quote functionality, and social proof widgets. It emphasizes speed and ease of setup while also providing white-glove installation services. Pro Wishlist, on the other hand, focuses on simplicity and ease of integration with existing Shopify themes, targeting merchants who prioritize a straightforward wishlist implementation with features like guest wishlists and inventory trend tracking. It lacks the advanced features and integrations offered by Fish Wishlist, suggesting a simpler use case. The most striking difference is in their social proof. Fish Wishlist has a perfect 5/5 rating based on 7 reviews, while Pro Wishlist has no ratings or reviews. This significantly impacts initial trust and perception. Fish Wishlist appears to offer a richer feature set, including B2B capabilities, POS integration and multi-language support making it suitable for larger businesses or those with complex sales processes. Pro Wishlist's lack of reviews and simpler feature list makes it potentially better suited for new or smaller merchants prioritizing a basic wishlist feature above all else and who are willing to take a risk on an unproven app.

Our Verdict
For established businesses, especially those with B2B components or physical retail locations utilizing Shopify POS, Fish Wishlist is the clear recommendation. Its comprehensive feature set, positive reviews (however limited), and B2B/POS integrations make it a more powerful tool. The availability of white-glove installation also adds significant value for merchants who need assistance with setup.
For brand new or small online stores primarily focused on ease of use and a basic wishlist feature, Pro Wishlist *could* be considered if there were any reviews or evidence of its effectiveness. As it stands, the lack of any user feedback makes it a risky choice, despite its promise of simple integration. Without reviews, it's nearly impossible to know if Pro Wishlist actually delivers on its promises, making Fish Wishlist a safer and more reliable choice for almost all merchants at this time.
Common Questions
Which app is easier to set up?
Both apps claim quick setup times. Fish Wishlist boasts a 2-minute setup, while Pro Wishlist claims 'under 5 minutes'. However, the complexity of Fish Wishlist's features might lead to a longer overall configuration time despite the initial fast setup.
Which app is better for B2B businesses?
Fish Wishlist is specifically designed to cater to B2B businesses, offering features like 'Request a Quote', 'B2B pricing', and 'Draft Order Integration'. Pro Wishlist does not offer any B2B-specific features.
Which app offers more features overall?
Fish Wishlist offers a significantly broader range of features, including POS integration, social proof widgets, and multi-language support. Pro Wishlist focuses on basic wishlist functionality with features such as guest wishlists and inventory trend tracking, so it is less feature-rich.
Is Pro Wishlist more affordable?
The provided data does not include pricing information for either app, so it's impossible to determine which is more affordable. Merchants should compare pricing plans directly within the Shopify App Store before making a decision.
Should I trust an app with no reviews?
Generally, it's riskier to install an app with no reviews. Reviews provide valuable insights into an app's performance, reliability, and customer support. While Pro Wishlist might be a good app, the lack of reviews makes it difficult to assess its quality. Installing an app with zero reviews is only advisable if no other options are available.
