Our Verdict
For merchants seeking a comprehensive wishlist solution with robust features for B2B, POS integration, and multi-market support, Fish Wishlist appears to be the better choice, particularly given its positive (albeit limited) reviews. The white glove installation can also be valuable for larger stores. However, be aware that the feature richness may come with added complexity.
Rootways Wishlist is more suited for merchants prioritizing simplicity and ease of use. If a simple, user-friendly wishlist with guest access and social sharing is the primary goal, and integration needs are minimal, Rootways Wishlist could be a suitable option, *if* future reviews establish its reliability and quality. However, given the current lack of any reviews, it would be wise to proceed with caution and thoroughly test the app before widespread adoption.
Common Questions
Which app is easier to set up?
Both apps claim easy setup. Fish Wishlist mentions '2-minute setup', while Rootways Wishlist highlights 'seamless theme integration'. However, the optional 'white glove installation' of Fish Wishlist suggests potential complexities if not using the guided setup.
Which app is better for B2B stores?
Fish Wishlist is the clear winner for B2B stores, with features like 'Request a Quote' and 'B2B Pricing'.
Does Rootways Wishlist support POS systems?
No, Rootways Wishlist does not mention POS integration. Fish Wishlist explicitly supports POS.
Which app offers better sharing options?
Both apps offer sharing capabilities. Fish Wishlist focuses on 'Create wishlist links & use Social Proof widgets', while Rootways Wishlist highlights sharing via email, direct links, and social media. The best option depends on the merchant's specific sharing strategy.
Given the review disparity, should I automatically choose Fish Wishlist?
While the higher rating and existing reviews for Fish Wishlist are positive indicators, it's essential to consider your specific needs. If the features offered by Rootways Wishlist perfectly match your requirements, and you are willing to thoroughly test it before widespread adoption, it could still be a viable option. However, the lack of reviews represents a risk.
