Fish Wishlist vs WBL ‑ Request a Quotefor Shopify (2026)
Fish Wishlist and WBL - Request a Quote both cater to Shopify merchants interested in pricing quote functionality, but their approaches and target audiences differ significantly. Fish Wishlist aims to be a comprehensive wishlist solution with added B2B and POS features, including Request a Quote functionality, social proof widgets, and multi-language support. It positions itself as easy to set up and omnichannel, offering wishlist sharing, B2B pricing integration, and the ability to manage wishlists and purchase history within Shopify POS. It leans toward B2B and B2C merchants seeking to enhance the wishlist experience and offer custom pricing to B2B customers. WBL - Request a Quote, on the other hand, focuses solely on simplifying quote requests and management for merchants selling custom or bulk products. It emphasizes streamlined negotiation, personalized offers, and seamless quote-to-order conversion within Shopify. The primary difference lies in scope: Fish Wishlist is a broad wishlist application with Request a Quote as one of many features, whereas WBL - Request a Quote is a specialized app dedicated exclusively to quote management. Fish Wishlist appears designed for stores that need comprehensive wishlist features alongside B2B pricing. WBL - Request a Quote is for merchants dealing predominantly with custom orders and needing a dedicated quote management system. The significant difference in user ratings and number of reviews also indicates Fish Wishlist has more market presence and potentially a more stable user experience at the time the data was collected.

Our Verdict
For merchants seeking a comprehensive wishlist solution *with* B2B quote functionality and POS integration, Fish Wishlist is the better choice, especially considering its established rating and reviews. Its wider feature set caters to diverse needs, including omnichannel experience and social proof. However, a merchant primarily focused on efficiently managing quotes for custom or bulk orders, and who finds other wishlist features irrelevant, might consider WBL - Request a Quote, *if* the app gains positive reviews and a proven track record over time. Currently, the lack of reviews for WBL makes it a riskier choice unless its specialized features are uniquely important.
Common Questions
Does Fish Wishlist offer dedicated quote management, or is it just a feature?
Fish Wishlist includes a 'Request a Quote' feature within a broader wishlist context, which is more than dedicated quote management.
Which app is easier to set up?
Fish Wishlist claims a 2-minute setup time, suggesting it's easier to get started with the basic wishlist functionality. WBL - Request a Quote doesn't make specific claims about setup time.
Can customers share wishlists using both apps?
Fish Wishlist explicitly mentions creating wishlist links for sharing. WBL - Request a Quote focuses on quote requests rather than wishlist sharing, so wishlist sharing is not supported by the available data.
Which app integrates with Shopify POS?
Fish Wishlist directly integrates with Shopify POS for managing wishlists, purchase history, and abandoned carts. WBL - Request a Quote does not mention POS integration.
Which app is better for B2C businesses?
While both can be used for B2C, Fish Wishlist's general wishlist functionality makes it more suitable for B2C businesses looking to enhance their shopping experience.
