FitIQ ‑ Try it On vs Fittingbox Virtual Try‑Onfor Shopify (2026)
In 2026, Shopify merchants seeking 3D/AR/VR solutions for their online stores have options like FitIQ ‑ Try it On and Fittingbox Virtual Try‑On. While both apps fall under the Images and Media, and 3D/AR/VR categories, their positioning appears different. Fittingbox Virtual Try-On is clearly focused on eyewear (glasses and sunglasses), offering features like realistic 3D frame renderings and frame digitization. FitIQ's niche is unclear with the limited data. Fittingbox Virtual Try-On is more established based on the number of reviews. It touts features that directly address common pain points for online eyewear retailers: boosting engagement, reducing customer doubts, and minimizing returns. The key selling points are its live virtual try-on, ultra-realistic renderings, precise frame positioning, and extensive frame database. The available information implies FitIQ offers a more generic 'try-on' experience, but with only two reviews its credibility is less certain. Fittingbox caters specifically to eyewear businesses, offering specialized features tailored to their needs.

Our Verdict
For eyewear retailers in 2026, Fittingbox Virtual Try-On appears to be the stronger choice. Its focus on glasses and sunglasses, combined with features like the digital frame database and frame digitization, offers a comprehensive solution to address specific challenges in that market. The significantly higher number of reviews, despite a slightly lower rating, provides greater confidence in its capabilities and reliability.
While FitIQ ‑ Try it On has a perfect rating, the limited number of reviews and lack of detailed feature information make it difficult to assess its suitability. Unless FitIQ clearly offers a significantly better or more versatile 'try-on' experience applicable to a wider range of products (clothing, accessories, etc.), Fittingbox is the safer and more specialized choice for eyewear.
