FitIQ ‑ Try it On vs SEO Speed Image Optimizerfor Shopify (2026)
FitIQ ‑ Try it On and SEO Speed Image Optimizer serve entirely different purposes for Shopify merchants. FitIQ, despite its limited reviews, appears focused on providing an augmented reality or virtual try-on experience, enabling customers to visualize products on themselves (inferred from the name). This would primarily target merchants in apparel, eyewear, or cosmetics. SEO Speed Image Optimizer, on the other hand, is designed to improve website performance and SEO by optimizing images. With a significant number of positive reviews, it caters to a broader range of merchants looking to enhance site speed and search engine rankings through automated image resizing, compression, and alt text optimization. The major difference lies in their functionalities. FitIQ enhances the customer experience with interactive features, while SEO Speed Image Optimizer concentrates on backend optimization to improve site performance and visibility. SEO Speed Image Optimizer offers tangible, measurable benefits like reduced image sizes, improved alt text, and SEO reports, which are appealing to data-driven merchants. Though FitIQ has perfect rating, the low number of reviews means that its reliability is less verifiable than that of SEO Speed Image Optimizer.

Our Verdict
SEO Speed Image Optimizer is generally the safer and more broadly applicable choice for most Shopify merchants in 2026. Image optimization is a fundamental aspect of a well-performing online store, making it a valuable asset regardless of the specific product category. The higher number of reviews adds credibility and implies a proven track record.
FitIQ ‑ Try it On caters to a niche market of merchants selling products where visualization is critical. While the concept is appealing, the minimal reviews raise concerns about reliability and potentially complex integration. If a merchant sells clothing, glasses or makeup, and is willing to take a risk on a newer app, FitIQ might be worth exploring. However, for the vast majority of merchants, SEO Speed Image Optimizer offers a more immediate and dependable return on investment by improving site speed and search visibility.
