Fitting Room vs Overlyapp ‑ 3D / AR viewerfor Shopify (2026)
Fitting Room and Overlyapp ‑ 3D / AR viewer both aim to enhance the shopping experience through virtual try-on technology but take different approaches. Fitting Room is positioned as a simple, user-friendly solution specifically for clothing retailers. Its strength lies in its ease of setup and seamless integration, requiring no manual product picking or complicated configurations. Overlyapp ‑ 3D / AR viewer, on the other hand, is a broader 3D/AR platform with applications beyond just clothing, potentially targeting merchants selling art or other products benefiting from 3D visualization and AR integration. The key difference lies in their complexity and target audience. Fitting Room is designed for merchants seeking a quick and easy virtual try-on solution for clothing, while Overlyapp ‑ 3D / AR viewer caters to those needing a more versatile and potentially customizable 3D/AR experience. Overlyapp offers services like model creation and setup assistance, appealing to merchants lacking in-house 3D/AR expertise. However, this comes at the cost of potentially more configuration and a steeper learning curve compared to Fitting Room's plug-and-play nature.
