Fitting Room vs Vizbl ARfor Shopify (2026)
Fitting Room and Vizbl AR both operate in the 3D/AR/VR space on Shopify, but target distinct functionalities and, likely, customer expectations. Fitting Room focuses solely on apparel, offering a virtual try-on experience using photo uploads. It's designed for simplicity, emphasizing easy integration and minimal configuration for both merchants and customers. The focus is on boosting shopper confidence specifically related to fit and appearance of clothing. Vizbl AR takes a broader approach, allowing customers to visualize products in their own environments using Augmented Reality. This is applicable to a wider range of products beyond clothing where size and context are key decision factors, such as furniture, home decor, and other tangible goods. While Fitting Room emphasizes immediate usability and no setup, Vizbl AR highlights its ability to increase conversions and reduce returns through enhanced visualization. Both claim to increase shopper confidence, but Vizbl AR's method addresses general product understanding, whereas Fitting Room focuses on clothing fit. The biggest difference is the technology used to display the product in a real-world setting. Fitting Room requires the user to upload a photo of themselves and displays a virtual try-on. Vizbl AR uses augmented reality to display the product in the user's surroundings via their camera.

Our Verdict
For Shopify merchants selling clothing and prioritizing a straightforward, easy-to-implement virtual try-on solution, Fitting Room appears to be the better choice, especially given its perfect rating and user feedback. Its focus on apparel-specific visualization and its claim of zero configuration make it attractive to merchants seeking a quick win.
Vizbl AR caters to merchants selling products where size, scale, and context are crucial for purchase decisions. While it currently lacks reviews, the AR visualization approach can be particularly powerful for items like furniture, home decor, and appliances. Merchants willing to invest time to test and optimize AR integration might find Vizbl AR more suitable for improving conversions and reducing returns for these kinds of goods.
