Our Verdict
For clothing retailers seeking a straightforward and intuitive virtual try-on solution that requires minimal setup, Fitting Room is the better choice. Its seamless integration and ease of use prioritize a native shopping experience. However, merchants specifically selling accessories like sunglasses, bindis, or lipsticks, and willing to invest time in configuring product-specific try-on settings, might find Webkul Fashion Tryon a suitable, albeit potentially riskier choice, given its lack of reviews and unproven user experience in 2026.
Common Questions
What types of products does each app support for virtual try-on?
Fitting Room supports clothing items, allowing customers to upload a photo to see how the clothes look on them. Webkul Fashion Tryon supports accessories like sunglasses, bindis, and lipsticks, using AI to simulate the product's appearance on the customer.
How easy is it to set up each app?
Fitting Room is designed for minimal setup. Merchants simply install the app and add the app block. Webkul Fashion Tryon requires more configuration, including importing products and enabling/disabling the try-on feature for specific items.
How does each app approach the virtual try-on experience?
Fitting Room uses a photo upload method, where customers upload a picture of themselves. Webkul Fashion Tryon employs 2D AI to show how the selected accessory will look.
Which app has better user reviews?
Fitting Room has a perfect 5/5 rating with 3 reviews, while Webkul Fashion Tryon has no reviews and therefore a 0/5 rating.
If a merchant sells both clothing and accessories, which app is better?
Neither app effectively handles both clothing AND accessories. The merchant would need to choose which category is more important, or explore a hypothetical third-party solution that supports both, since neither offer a full range of support. If only one had to be chosen, Fitting Room's higher rating and focus on ease of use might make it a slightly better choice, but it won't address accessory needs.
