Fittingbox Virtual Try‑On vs GlassOnfor Shopify (2026)
Fittingbox Virtual Try‑On and GlassOn both offer virtual try-on solutions for eyewear retailers on Shopify. Fittingbox Virtual Try-On positions itself as a comprehensive solution to boost engagement and reduce customer doubts by providing realistic 3D renderings and precise frame positioning. Its key strengths include a large digital frame database and effortless 3D digitization capabilities, targeting merchants with diverse or proprietary frame catalogs. GlassOn, while having a perfect rating, currently has fewer reviews. The key differentiator between the two apps lies in Fittingbox's emphasis on a broader eyewear database and digitization options, suggesting a focus on established eyewear businesses needing to manage large and diverse inventories. GlassOn, with its perfect rating but limited review volume, appears to be a newer or niche player. Merchants should consider their catalog size, need for digitization tools, and willingness to experiment with a potentially newer solution when choosing between these apps.

Our Verdict
For established eyewear businesses with extensive or proprietary frame catalogs, Fittingbox Virtual Try-On offers a more comprehensive solution, leveraging its extensive database and digitization capabilities. The higher number of reviews, while resulting in a slightly lower rating, might also provide a greater sense of reassurance.
GlassOn, despite its perfect rating, lacks the detailed feature list and review volume to provide a clear picture of its capabilities. It might be suitable for smaller businesses or those prioritizing a potentially simpler integration, assuming it offers competitive try-on accuracy and performance. However, merchants choosing GlassOn should thoroughly investigate its frame compatibility and digitization options before committing.
