Flash Express Malaysia vs OTP ‑ CoD Order Verificationfor Shopify (2026)
Flash Express Malaysia and OTP ‑ CoD Order Verification are two distinct Shopify apps, despite sharing the 'Cash on Delivery (COD)' category. Flash Express Malaysia focuses on providing a comprehensive delivery service, emphasizing speed, nationwide coverage, and all-in-one order management. Their target audience appears to be merchants in Malaysia looking for a full-fledged shipping solution with 24/7 availability and same-day pickup. However, its extremely low rating and single review raise serious concerns about its reliability and user satisfaction. OTP ‑ CoD Order Verification, on the other hand, addresses the specific problem of fraudulent COD orders and reduces Return to Origin (RTO) rates. It utilizes OTP verification via WhatsApp, SMS, or email to confirm orders before dispatch. Its target audience is merchants, particularly those in regions with high COD usage (India, Pakistan, Philippines, Egypt), concerned about financial losses due to fake orders and high return rates. The app's focus is on verification and customer communication, leading to increased confidence and reduced losses. The significantly higher rating and more reviews suggest greater reliability and user satisfaction. The primary difference lies in their functionality: Flash Express provides delivery services, while OTP - CoD Order Verification reduces fraudulent COD orders through verification processes. Thus their functionality overlaps in the cash on delivery space but is fundamentally different.

Our Verdict
Given the substantial difference in ratings and focus, OTP ‑ CoD Order Verification appears to be a more reliable and focused solution for merchants specifically struggling with fraudulent COD orders and high RTO rates. Its positive reviews and specific features addressing this problem make it a strong contender. Flash Express Malaysia might be suitable for merchants solely focused on finding a delivery service within Malaysia, but its abysmal rating and single review warrant extreme caution; thorough investigation and verification of its service are crucial before considering it. In short, If you need a delivery service, explore other options than Flash Express until they have addressed their customer service and reputation problems. If you need to stop fraudulent COD orders, OTP is a good fit.
