Our Verdict
For merchants highly concerned with site speed and looking specifically for polished, native-feeling slider sections that are actively maintained, Flexi — Theme Sections Library is the better choice. The optimization focus and professional maintenance provide long-term value, particularly for stores using popular themes like Dawn or Horizon.
If the priority is maximizing the number of available sections and blocks with minimal coding effort and a focus on marketing and conversion, Puco Sections: Theme Sections is the more suitable option. Its large library and emphasis on ease of use make it ideal for entrepreneurs who want to rapidly expand their storefront's functionality without hiring developers or dealing with complex page builders.
Common Questions
Which app is better for site speed?
Flexi is specifically optimized for Google PageSpeed Insights, suggesting it will likely offer better performance, particularly if you only need slider sections. Puco Sections may introduce more bloat due to its larger library.
Which app offers more flexibility in terms of design?
Both apps offer customization, but Puco Sections offers a broader range of sections to customize. Flexi emphasizes styling its slider sections to match your brand, so the answer depends on the type of design flexibility you need.
Is prior coding knowledge needed for either app?
Neither app explicitly requires coding knowledge, but Flexi allows for customization by experts (presumably developers) which might indicate some advanced styling could benefit from developer assistance. Puco Sections explicitly states 'no coding required'.
How often are these apps updated?
Flexi's slider sections are maintained by professional developers. Puco Sections adds new global sections and product blocks weekly, based on user demand.
Which app has better customer support?
Puco Sections highlights its support, stating they 'love the support' and are ready to help and customize. Flexi mentions an expert network, implying support is available, but does not emphasize it as strongly as Puco Sections.
