Floatton ‑ Floating Buttons vs SectionAI ‑ AI Theme Sectionfor Shopify (2026)
In 2026, Shopify merchants choosing between Floatton ‑ Floating Buttons and SectionAI ‑ AI Theme Section are facing very different value propositions. Floatton, despite its limited review count, focuses on a singular design element: floating buttons. While the app description is unavailable, we can infer that it provides an easy way to add and customize floating action buttons on a store. SectionAI, on the other hand, is a much broader AI-powered theme section builder. It aims to empower merchants to create entire sections from text prompts, images, or wireframes, bypassing the need for coding knowledge. The key difference lies in their scope. Floatton targets merchants who specifically need floating buttons, offering likely simple implementation and customization. SectionAI targets merchants who want greater control over their theme's design but lack coding skills, offering the ability to create various types of dynamic sections from scratch or using pre-built templates. Both apps have perfect ratings, but SectionAI has more reviews, potentially indicating greater user adoption or a more complex offering requiring more troubleshooting.

Our Verdict
The choice between Floatton and SectionAI hinges entirely on the merchant's specific needs. If a merchant simply requires aesthetically pleasing and functional floating buttons, Floatton is likely the more straightforward and efficient solution. It presumably avoids the learning curve associated with AI prompt engineering.
However, if a merchant wants to significantly overhaul their store's theme sections and create unique layouts without relying on developers, SectionAI is the clear winner. Its AI-powered features offer unparalleled design flexibility and customization options, especially beneficial for merchants with strong design ideas but limited coding skills. While both have perfect ratings, consider the smaller sample size for Floatton.
