Flook: PDF Catalog to Flipbook vs Whatmore Shoppable Videos+Reelfor Shopify (2026)
Flook: PDF Catalog to Flipbook and Whatmore Shoppable Videos+Reel cater to distinct marketing and sales strategies for Shopify merchants in 2026. Flook targets businesses with existing PDF catalogs, offering a way to transform them into interactive, shoppable flipbooks embedded on any webpage. This positions Flook as a solution for businesses transitioning from traditional print marketing to digital, focusing on enhancing existing brochure content. Whatmore, on the other hand, caters to a visually-driven approach by focusing on shoppable video content sourced from platforms like Instagram Reels and TikTok. Its AI-powered product tagging and automatic syncing features aim to streamline the creation of engaging shopping experiences directly from video content. The core difference lies in the content source and presentation. Flook repurposes static PDF catalogs into interactive formats, whereas Whatmore leverages dynamic video content primarily from social media to drive sales. Flook seems ideal for merchants who already have high-quality product catalogs in PDF form but lack an engaging digital format. Whatmore is suited to merchants actively using social media video content and seeking to integrate that into their online store for a more interactive shopping experience, with minimal manual effort.

Our Verdict
Whatmore Shoppable Videos+Reel appears to be the stronger choice for most Shopify merchants in 2026, especially those already active on social media platforms like TikTok and Instagram. Its high rating, large number of reviews, and AI-powered automation offer a streamlined approach to integrating video content into the shopping experience. The minimal manual effort required for set-up and the focus on fast load times make it a particularly attractive option.
However, Flook: PDF Catalog to Flipbook remains a viable option for businesses that have invested heavily in creating high-quality product catalogs in PDF format. If the business has existing catalogs they don't want to recreate as videos, and is willing to invest the manual labor in linking products, Flook provides a way to repurpose those assets for a digital audience.
Common Questions
Which app is easier to set up?
Whatmore appears easier to set up due to its automated features, such as auto-syncing with social media and AI-powered product tagging. Flook might require more manual work to link products within the flipbooks.
Which app is better for SEO?
Whatmore, with its emphasis on dynamic video content and integration with social media platforms, likely offers better SEO potential due to increased engagement and shareability. However, Flook's embeddable flipbooks could contribute if properly optimized with relevant keywords and alt text.
Which app is more suitable for a store with a limited product range?
Both apps could be suitable, but Whatmore's automatic product tagging might be overkill if there are only a few products. Flook might be a more cost-effective solution in this case as the merchant would not need to re-produce video assets.
Which app has better customer support?
Based solely on the available data, it is difficult to determine which app has better customer support. However, Whatmore's significantly higher number of reviews (327 vs. 9) might suggest a larger user base and potentially more available support resources.
Does one app provide better analytics?
The descriptions do not explicitly state which app provides better analytics. However, Whatmore's feature to send Meta Pixels for retargeting campaigns suggests robust tracking capabilities for measuring campaign performance.
