Our Verdict
Given the substantial difference in ratings and review count, Sales Countdown Timer & Upsell appears to be the more reliable choice for most Shopify merchants in 2026. Its lack of explicitly mentioned features is somewhat mitigated by the strong user feedback, suggesting a functional and effective solution. However, Focal Countdown Timer Builder could be a worthwhile consideration for merchants who place a very high value on visual customization and placement flexibility and are willing to take a risk on a newer, less proven app, understanding the potential for bugs or missing features given the low review count. Further investigation into recent updates and developer responsiveness would be prudent before choosing Focal.
