Our Verdict
For merchants primarily focused on optimizing their promotional strategies and building customer loyalty through flexible cashback rewards, Fondue CashBack Promotions offers a targeted solution. Its emphasis on post-purchase incentives and customizable redemption options can be particularly effective for reducing profit loss from indiscriminate discounting. On the other hand, SupaEasy: AI Functions creator is the better choice for merchants needing to implement complex and highly customized checkout experiences, especially those previously reliant on Shopify Scripts. The AI-powered function generation allows non-technical users to create advanced features that would otherwise require extensive coding knowledge. It's also a strong choice for Shopify Plus merchants looking to easily migrate legacy scripts into modern Shopify functions.
Common Questions
Which app is easier to use for a non-technical merchant?
SupaEasy leverages AI to help create functions without coding, making it suitable. Fondue is also generally straightforward, but relies on understanding promotion strategy more than coding.
Can I use both apps together?
Potentially, but with careful planning. SupaEasy could create a function that triggers or modifies Fondue's cashback eligibility. However, ensure the discounts and cashback offers don't conflict or stack unexpectedly.
Which app is better for customer retention?
Fondue CashBack Promotions focuses directly on customer retention by offering rewards and incentives to encourage repeat purchases. SupaEasy provides the tools to potentially improve customer experience, but doesn't actively encourage repeat purchases on its own.
Does either app help with A/B testing discount strategies?
Fondue directly supports A/B testing through URL-based cashback segmentation. SupaEasy can be used to create different discount variations, but you'd need a separate A/B testing app to track the results effectively.
Is SupaEasy only for replacing Script Editor functionality?
No. While it excels at Script migration, SupaEasy can also generate new functions for merchants not previously using the Script Editor. It offers advanced checkout customization to any Shopify store.
