Force Translate Anything Adv. vs Geolocation & Markets—Selectyfor Shopify (2026)
Force Translate Anything Adv. and Geolocation & Markets—Selecty are both Shopify apps in the Currency and translation categories. However, they cater to different needs and stages of global expansion. Geolocation & Markets—Selecty focuses on leveraging geolocation to enhance the international customer experience through automatic redirects, language and currency selection, and market recommendations. It appears designed for merchants already operating or planning to operate across multiple Shopify Markets or use Global-e Managed Markets. Force Translate Anything Adv., based on its name, seems primarily focused on translation, but the extremely limited data (only one review) makes it difficult to ascertain its full functionality or ideal target audience. It is likely a more basic or narrowly focused translation solution, perhaps suitable for stores with limited international reach needing simple translation capabilities.

Our Verdict
Geolocation & Markets—Selecty is the clear choice for merchants who are actively engaged in or planning significant international expansion using Shopify Markets or Global-e. Its robust features for geolocation, currency conversion, and language selection provide a comprehensive solution for tailoring the customer experience to different regions. The high number of positive reviews (262) also indicates a strong track record of success. Force Translate Anything Adv., due to the lack of information and minimal reviews, is difficult to recommend without further details. It *might* be suitable for very small businesses needing a basic translation solution, but the risk is high compared to the established Geolocation & Markets—Selecty app.
Common Questions
Which app is easier to set up?
Based on the features described, Force Translate Anything Adv. is likely easier to set up due to its potentially narrower focus on simple translation. Geolocation & Markets—Selecty, with its broader range of features, may require more configuration.
Which app is better for maximizing international sales?
Geolocation & Markets—Selecty is explicitly designed to boost international sales by localizing the customer experience and directing users to the correct market. Force Translate Anything Adv. may contribute to sales through translation, but lacks the comprehensive approach of Geolocation & Markets—Selecty.
Which app is more cost-effective?
Without pricing information, it is impossible to say for sure. However, it's likely that Force Translate Anything Adv., with its potentially simpler feature set, is more cost-effective for basic translation needs, while Geolocation & Markets—Selecty is likely a higher-priced solution that is worth the cost if you have the market to justify it.
If I only need to translate a few product descriptions, which app is better?
If you only need to translate a few product descriptions, it is worth exploring free translation options before considering either of these paid apps. But if you're going for professional translation, Force Translate Anything Adv. *might* be the better option, but proceed with caution given the low number of reviews. Otherwise, consider other more-reviewed options on the marketplace for single-use translation.
Can Geolocation & Markets—Selecty translate my entire website?
While Geolocation & Markets—Selecty includes language selection, it primarily focuses on geolocation and directing users to the appropriate market. While it may offer some translation functionality, it's unlikely to be a comprehensive translation solution on its own. Additional translation apps or services may still be needed.
