Forthcast Inventory Management vs Preorder | Notify Me Timesactfor Shopify (2026)
Forthcast Inventory Management and Preorder | Notify Me Timesact are both Shopify apps operating in the stock alerts category. However, their functionalities and target audiences diverge significantly. Forthcast Inventory Management aims to provide inventory management solutions, although the limited available data makes it difficult to determine the specific features and scope of its service. On the other hand, Preorder | Notify Me Timesact specializes in managing pre-orders, back-in-stock notifications, and waitlists to capture potential sales on sold-out or upcoming products. Preorder | Notify Me Timesact offers a comprehensive suite of features centered around pre-sales and restock alerts, including partial payments, automatic discounts, order limits, stylish badges, automated emails, shipping date displays, and countdown timers. It targets merchants seeking to generate hype for new product launches and retain customers even when items are out of stock. Forthcast Inventory Management's singular review provides inadequate evidence to determine its strength or target merchant profile.

Our Verdict
Based on the available information, Preorder | Notify Me Timesact appears to be the more robust and established solution for merchants specifically seeking to manage pre-orders and back-in-stock notifications. The high number of reviews indicates wider adoption and, presumably, greater reliability. Merchants launching new products or frequently experiencing out-of-stock situations will benefit from its feature-rich suite.
Without more information about Forthcast Inventory Management, it's difficult to assess its suitability. It might be suitable if a merchant has a very specific need for a very basic inventory app, and is willing to take the risk of using a very new app with limited user feedback. However, most merchants would be better served choosing the more mature app.
