Our Verdict
Fraud Falcon ‑ Block & Prevent is highly recommended for merchants experiencing significant fraud or chargeback issues. Its automated fraud rule engine and customizable actions offer robust protection and potential cost savings. The setup wizard adds to its appeal. However, the low number of reviews should be considered.
Kroolert: KPI‑Alerting is ideal for growth-focused businesses that need to stay on top of key performance indicators. Real-time alerts enable faster decision-making and proactive responses to market changes. The Zapier integration allows integration with various workflow tools. Its lack of reviews and ratings is concerning, indicating it may be very new or have other issues. Merchants should proceed with caution or look for alternatives with more established reputation if KPI monitoring is crucial.
Common Questions
Which app is easier to set up?
Fraud Falcon ‑ Block & Prevent appears to be easier to set up initially, thanks to its setup wizard that analyzes the store and suggests tailored fraud rules. Kroolert also boasts pre-built rules for common Shopify metrics, but the absence of user feedback makes it difficult to compare definitively.
Which app provides a better ROI?
The ROI of Fraud Falcon is directly tied to the reduction in fraud and chargeback losses. If these are significant issues, it can offer a clear ROI. The ROI of Kroolert is more indirect, depending on how effectively merchants use the real-time alerts to improve business decisions and operational efficiency. Both require proper configuration to achieve optimal ROI.
Which app is better for a small store?
For a small store with limited resources, Kroolert might be more immediately beneficial if the owner is actively tracking KPIs and needs to be alerted to changes. If fraud is a major concern even in the early stages, Fraud Falcon is worth considering. However, the small number of reviews for Fraud Falcon, and the lack of reviews for Kroolert means merchants should be cautious when committing to either. More established alternatives may be a better bet.
Can these apps be used together?
Yes, they address distinct needs and can complement each other. Fraud Falcon protects against fraudulent orders, while Kroolert monitors overall business performance. For example, Kroolert could be configured to alert when order volume drops after Fraud Falcon blocks a large number of fraudulent orders.
What are the biggest risks of choosing either app?
The biggest risk with Fraud Falcon is that its fraud rules may inadvertently block legitimate customers, negatively impacting sales. Careful configuration and monitoring are essential. With Kroolert, the risk lies in alert fatigue. If too many alerts are triggered, users may ignore them, defeating the purpose. Careful threshold configuration is crucial. Also, the lack of reviews for both apps is something to be aware of.
