Fraud Falcon ‑ Block & Prevent vs Store Notificationsfor Shopify (2026)
Fraud Falcon ‑ Block & Prevent and Store Notifications cater to vastly different needs within a Shopify store, despite sharing the 'Staff notifications' category. Fraud Falcon focuses on fraud prevention, aiming to automatically block suspicious orders and minimize chargebacks. It appeals to merchants concerned about fraudulent transactions and seeking automated protection. Store Notifications, on the other hand, offers granular control over store notifications, routing them to various stakeholders based on defined rules. Its strength lies in streamlining internal communication and data sharing with vendors or staff based on order details. The core difference lies in their functionalities. Fraud Falcon uses rules to identify and act on potentially fraudulent orders, offering actions like cancellation, hold for review, or alerts. Store Notifications uses rules to filter and forward notifications based on various attributes of orders, products, or customers, supporting CSV attachments and webhook integrations. While both involve 'rules,' the purpose is different: Fraud Falcon prevents losses, while Store Notifications improves operational efficiency. The existing customer validation for Fraud Falcon (albeit small) suggests a working product, whereas Store Notifications has no validated customer base.

Our Verdict
For merchants primarily concerned with preventing fraudulent orders and minimizing chargebacks, Fraud Falcon ‑ Block & Prevent is the clear choice. Its setup wizard and focus on automated blocking based on risk factors make it a suitable option for businesses facing high fraud rates. The customer validation suggests a working product with real users.
Store Notifications, while potentially valuable, caters to a different need. Merchants who need to streamline internal communication, automatically notify suppliers about new orders, or integrate order data with external systems would find it more useful. However, the lack of reviews and a zero rating makes it a riskier choice in 2026. Unless the need for custom notifications is absolutely critical, Fraud Falcon is the safer bet, especially for smaller businesses looking to protect their revenue.
