FraudBlock Fraud Prevention vs Zigpoll Customer Surveysfor Shopify (2026)
FraudBlock Fraud Prevention and Zigpoll Customer Surveys, while both categorized under 'Operations' in the Shopify app store, address entirely different needs for merchants. FraudBlock targets merchants concerned about fraudulent orders and chargebacks by automating the cancellation, refund, and inventory restocking process for high-risk orders identified by Shopify's fraud analysis. It emphasizes preventing financial losses and operational inefficiencies associated with fraudulent transactions. The app's value proposition lies in its hands-off approach to fraud management, saving merchants time and resources. However, its limited number of reviews compared to Zigpoll may indicate that it's a newer app or has a smaller user base. Zigpoll, on the other hand, is a customer survey app designed to gather insights and improve customer experience. It focuses on collecting zero-party data through post-purchase, pre-purchase, and on-site surveys delivered via various channels like email and SMS. Zigpoll aims to empower merchants to optimize their business roadmap, marketing spend, and conversion rates by analyzing customer feedback using AI. It offers advanced customization, multilingual support, and integrations with other Shopify apps. The app's higher number of reviews and perfect rating suggest a strong level of satisfaction among its users. The two apps serve completely different functions and would appeal to drastically different kinds of business priorities.

Our Verdict
FraudBlock Fraud Prevention is best suited for merchants who are experiencing a high volume of fraudulent orders or are looking for a hands-off solution to automatically handle potentially fraudulent transactions. It’s ideal for businesses that prioritize risk mitigation and minimizing financial losses due to chargebacks. However, merchants should carefully consider the potential for false positives (legitimate orders being canceled) when relying solely on automated cancellation.
Zigpoll Customer Surveys, conversely, is the superior choice for merchants who want to proactively understand their customers, improve their overall customer experience, and optimize their marketing and product development efforts. Its robust survey functionality and AI-powered analytics offer valuable insights for data-driven decision-making. It's a great option for businesses prioritizing customer satisfaction and long-term growth through continuous improvement. It wins out for business owners looking for insight and analysis over protection and preventative measures.
Common Questions
Does FraudBlock prevent all fraudulent orders?
FraudBlock automates the cancellation of 'high-risk' orders as identified by Shopify's fraud analysis. It does not guarantee complete prevention of all fraudulent orders, as Shopify's analysis may not catch everything. It prevents those identified by Shopify only.
Can Zigpoll surveys be integrated with other marketing tools?
Yes, Zigpoll offers integrations with your existing marketing stack, allowing you to connect survey responses with your other marketing efforts.
What happens if FraudBlock cancels a legitimate order?
While FraudBlock aims to only cancel high-risk orders, there's a possibility of false positives. The app provides options to send cancellation notifications to both the customer and the store admin, allowing for potential manual intervention if necessary.
How customizable are Zigpoll surveys?
Zigpoll surveys are highly customizable, allowing you to tailor every detail and translate them into multiple languages to suit your specific brand and target audience.
Are these apps compatible with all Shopify plans?
This information isn't provided in the app descriptions. Merchants should check the app listings in the Shopify App Store for specific plan compatibility details for both FraudBlock and Zigpoll.
