Our Verdict
For merchants seeking a simple and direct way to run product contests and quickly grow their email list, Free Gift Contest Popup might be appealing due to its ease of use (although the lack of reviews is a significant concern). However, the absence of reviews and a 0/5 rating in 2026 raise serious questions. For merchants looking for a more sophisticated and versatile solution that utilizes gamification to improve conversions and gain deeper insights into their marketing efforts, FreeDrop is the stronger option. FreeDrop, despite only having three reviews, benefits from a perfect 5/5 rating and advanced features like multiple game types, detailed analytics, and unique coupon code generation. The better rating and more robust feature set of FreeDrop makes it a safer and more effective choice for most stores.
