Free Gift Contest Popup vs Lury: Make an Offerfor Shopify (2026)
Free Gift Contest Popup and Lury: Make an Offer both aim to enhance sales and engagement, but they approach this from vastly different angles. Free Gift Contest Popup focuses on lead generation through contests where shoppers enter to win a free product by providing their email address. It positions itself as an alternative to standard discount popups, aiming to grow a merchant's contact list. Its core strength lies in its built-in contest creation and winner selection features, targeted towards merchants prioritizing list building and brand awareness. Lury: Make an Offer, in contrast, emphasizes direct sales improvement by allowing customers to propose their own prices for products. It offers automated negotiation rules and features like exit-intent popups to capture potential sales before customers leave the site. Lury: Make an Offer targets merchants seeking to increase revenue and conversion rates by offering flexible pricing options. It automates much of the negotiation process with rules for accepting, declining, or countering offers, and provides single-use codes for completed deals. The critical difference is the immediate sales focus of Lury versus the lead-generation focus of Free Gift Contest Popup. One aims for immediate revenue with a price-negotiation tool. The other focuses on growing the email list through a chance to win a free product.

Our Verdict
For a brand new Shopify store primarily focused on rapidly building an email list, Free Gift Contest Popup *might* be a tempting option *if* it offers a free or very low-cost plan. However, the lack of reviews is a significant risk factor. For established Shopify stores with existing traffic looking to directly increase sales and conversion rates, Lury: Make an Offer is the superior choice. While it requires more initial setup to define offer acceptance rules, the potential ROI from increased sales justifies the effort.
Given the current data, Lury has a clear advantage due to its positive reviews and focus on immediate sales improvements. Free Gift Contest Popup's lack of reviews makes it too risky to recommend without further validation of its features and performance.
