FreeDrop vs SweepPea: Buy‑to‑Enter Sweepsfor Shopify (2026)
FreeDrop and SweepPea: Buy‑to‑Enter Sweeps both aim to gamify marketing and increase conversions, but they approach this goal with different strategies and target different needs. FreeDrop focuses on immediate lead generation and engagement using various interactive games that entice users to submit their information in exchange for a chance to win a discount. It is more geared toward acquiring new customers and expanding email lists through entertaining user experiences. SweepPea, on the other hand, concentrates on boosting Average Order Value (AOV) and driving sales by incentivizing purchases with sweepstakes entries. This targets existing customers or those already considering a purchase, encouraging them to spend more for a better chance at winning a larger prize. The primary difference lies in the mechanism for participation. FreeDrop prioritizes signups and lead generation through gamified experiences, while SweepPea directly links sweepstakes entries to purchase value. FreeDrop also offers detailed analytics on promo participation and discount code usage, which can be crucial for optimizing marketing campaigns. SweepPea provides automated official rules generation and a free entry method, emphasizing legal compliance and ease of use in running sweepstakes. Therefore, the choice depends on whether a merchant prioritizes lead generation via engagement or AOV improvement through purchase incentives.
