FT GeoRedirect vs Traffic Policefor Shopify (2026)
FT GeoRedirect and Traffic Police both address geolocation-based traffic management for Shopify stores, but their target audiences and feature sets diverge significantly. FT GeoRedirect focuses primarily on redirection and blocking based on location to improve conversion rates and reduce fraud. It highlights precise geolocation detection and the ability to redirect using slug URLs. In contrast, Traffic Police positions itself as a more comprehensive security and traffic management tool. It includes features for blocking malicious traffic, creating allow/block lists, analyzing IP logs, and even content protection features like image antitheft and disabling right clicks. Traffic Police also includes a GDPR cookie bar. The most significant difference lies in user feedback and feature scope. FT GeoRedirect lacks any user reviews, making its reliability and ease of use uncertain. Traffic Police, while having only 8 reviews, boasts a perfect 5/5 rating, suggesting positive user experiences. The broader functionality of Traffic Police, encompassing security and GDPR compliance alongside redirection, caters to merchants needing more than just basic geolocation management. The lack of reviews for FT GeoRedirect introduces substantial risk for prospective users, especially in 2026 when more mature options are likely available.

Our Verdict
Traffic Police is the stronger choice for most merchants in 2026. Its perfect rating and broader feature set, including security measures and GDPR compliance, offer a more comprehensive solution. The lack of reviews for FT GeoRedirect makes it a risky choice, even for merchants with only basic redirection needs. The added security features and positive user sentiment towards Traffic Police outweigh the potential simplicity of FT GeoRedirect, especially considering the evolving threat landscape and increased emphasis on data privacy in 2026.
However, if a merchant *absolutely* only needs the simplest geolocation redirection and is comfortable being an early adopter or risk-taker, FT GeoRedirect might be an option to investigate further *if* the app has seen significant improvements by 2026. But given the available information, Traffic Police is the more sensible choice for the vast majority of Shopify store owners.
