Fuze: COD Post Purchase Upsell vs Partialy ‑ Partial Payment CODfor Shopify (2026)
Fuze: COD Post Purchase Upsell and Partialy ‑ Partial Payment COD both cater to Shopify merchants utilizing Cash on Delivery, but they approach it from significantly different angles. Fuze focuses on maximizing Average Order Value (AOV) and customer engagement *after* the initial purchase through upsells, cross-sells, and email marketing. It aims to enhance the overall shopping experience and build brand loyalty. In contrast, Partialy is centered on risk mitigation and sales conversion *during* the initial checkout process by offering flexible payment options like partial payments, pre-orders, and advanced COD rule configurations to reduce Return to Origin (RTO) issues and capture sales from customers who might not be able to pay the full amount upfront. The primary distinction lies in their target phase of the customer journey: Fuze optimizes the post-purchase experience, while Partialy focuses on securing the initial sale. Fuze incorporates A/B testing and surveys to gather consumer insights, allowing for data-driven optimization of offers. Partialy concentrates on customizable COD rules, discounts for prepaid orders, and configurable shipping rates, providing merchants granular control over their payment and fulfillment processes. While both apps are in the COD category, their feature sets cater to distinct merchant needs and priorities.

Our Verdict
For merchants primarily concerned with increasing the value of each order after it's placed and nurturing customer relationships, Fuze: COD Post Purchase Upsell could be a viable option, especially if they are willing to experiment with A/B testing and gather customer feedback. However, the low rating and limited number of reviews should be considered. For merchants facing challenges with COD order fulfillment, particularly high RTO rates, or those who want to offer flexible payment options to increase sales conversion, Partialy ‑ Partial Payment COD is the stronger choice. Its higher rating and focus on optimizing the checkout process to mitigate risks and capture sales make it a more compelling solution for those specific needs.
