Gang Sheet Builder vs Secure File Upload by AXQTfor Shopify (2026)
Gang Sheet Builder by Antigro Designer and Secure File Upload by AXQT both operate within the custom file upload category on Shopify, but address very different needs and target distinct merchant profiles. Gang Sheet Builder is specifically designed for businesses dealing with Direct-to-Film (DTF) printing, offering automated gang sheet creation with features like graphic nesting, text addition, design library access, background removal, and ready-to-print file generation. Its core strength lies in streamlining the DTF printing workflow, from customer upload to print-ready output. On the other hand, Secure File Upload by AXQT focuses on providing a general-purpose, secure file upload solution for any merchant needing to receive files from customers, regardless of the industry. It offers features like unlimited uploads, multi-file uploads, customization options, and file management capabilities. The primary difference is the level of specialization. Gang Sheet Builder provides a highly tailored solution for DTF printers, automating a very specific task within that industry. Secure File Upload is a more versatile tool, providing a foundation for any business needing secure file intake but lacking the industry-specific automation found in Gang Sheet Builder. A key consideration is the presence of reviews and ratings. Gang Sheet Builder boasts a perfect 5/5 rating with 15 reviews, suggesting strong user satisfaction, while Secure File Upload has no reviews, making its reliability and performance unknown.

Our Verdict
For merchants specifically in the DTF printing business, Gang Sheet Builder is the clear choice. Its automated gang sheet creation and industry-specific features will likely save significant time and improve order fulfillment. The positive reviews further support its effectiveness. However, for merchants in other industries needing a general-purpose solution for secure file uploads, Secure File Upload by AXQT might be suitable. Although the lack of reviews is a risk, its focus on unlimited uploads, multi-file support, and file management capabilities could be valuable. Merchants considering Secure File Upload should proceed cautiously, testing thoroughly during any free trial period to validate functionality and performance, or seek alternative file upload apps with proven track records.
Common Questions
Which app is easier to set up?
Without user reviews for Secure File Upload, it's difficult to say definitively. Gang Sheet Builder, while powerful, will require some understanding of DTF printing processes and machine configurations. Secure File Upload may have a simpler general setup, but requires the merchant to configure file management rules.
Which app is more secure?
Secure File Upload explicitly states it provides secure file uploads. Gang Sheet Builder doesn't emphasize security in its description. Thus, Secure File Upload is *likely* more secure, but users should investigate implementation details of each app to verify compliance with their security needs.
Which app is better for personalized product sales (e.g., custom mugs)?
Secure File Upload is the better choice for personalized product sales *unless* the personalization involves DTF printing directly. Secure File Upload facilitates the collection of customer designs or files necessary for personalization. Gang Sheet Builder's features would only be relevant if the custom mug involved DTF printing.
What file formats are supported by each app?
Gang Sheet Builder specifically mentions generating PNG or PDF files ready for printing. Secure File Upload doesn't specify file format support, implying it should support a wide range of file types.
Is there a free trial for either app?
The data provided does not specify whether either app offers a free trial. Merchants should check the app listings on the Shopify App Store for details on pricing and trial periods.
