Gatsby: Convert Your Followers vs PineRaffle: Sweepstake Contestfor Shopify (2026)
Gatsby: Convert Your Followers and PineRaffle: Sweepstake Contest both operate within the Giveaways and Contests category on the Shopify app store, but target different aspects of customer engagement and acquisition. Gatsby focuses on leveraging existing Instagram followers and user-generated content (UGC) to build email and SMS lists, drive engagement, and manage ambassador programs. It's positioned as a comprehensive solution for converting social media presence into tangible marketing assets and sales. PineRaffle, on the other hand, is focused on creating engaging sweepstakes and giveaways to generate leads and boost sales, emphasizing ease of use and rapid campaign deployment. The primary difference lies in their approach. Gatsby takes a broader approach by integrating with various platforms (Klaviyo, Attentive, Smile, LoyaltyLion, Yotpo, Stamped) and channels (Instagram DMs, email, SMS) to create a holistic marketing ecosystem around social media. PineRaffle offers a more targeted and streamlined approach, focusing specifically on sweepstakes and giveaways, with features like purchase-based entries and product-specific giveaways. Therefore, Gatsby is ideal for merchants looking for a comprehensive social media conversion strategy, while PineRaffle is better suited for those seeking quick and easy-to-launch giveaways and sweepstakes campaigns. While both apps can help acquire leads and drive sales, their feature sets cater to distinct needs. Gatsby seems to require more setup for all its integrated offerings, but enables personalized email/SMS flow automations based on user behavior such as following or UGC posting. PineRaffle is easier to use, but its offering is more narrowly focused on sweepstake/giveaway campaigns with limited personalization options for the same automations.

For merchants heavily invested in Instagram and looking to leverage user-generated content and ambassador programs while already having email and SMS flows built, Gatsby is the stronger choice. Its comprehensive feature set offers a holistic approach to social media conversion and engagement.
However, for merchants primarily focused on quickly generating leads and boosting sales through sweepstakes and giveaways without complex social media management needs, PineRaffle is the more practical option. Its ease of use and targeted features make it ideal for running effective promotional campaigns without requiring significant technical expertise or setup.
