Geolocation country redirect vs MLV Multi Country Pricingfor Shopify (2026)
Geolocation country redirect and MLV Multi Country Pricing both cater to the internationalization needs of Shopify merchants. Geolocation country redirect, with its perfect 5/5 rating, promises a seamless experience by automatically redirecting visitors to the appropriate country-specific version of the store. This simplicity likely targets merchants primarily focused on a streamlined, automated solution for geographic redirection. However, with only 21 reviews, its reliability over a larger user base is less certain. MLV Multi Country Pricing, on the other hand, boasts a much larger user base (413 reviews) and focuses on multi-country pricing strategies. Its 4.4/5 rating suggests widespread satisfaction, but potential users should investigate the reasons for the slightly lower score. MLV Multi Country Pricing likely offers more granular control over pricing strategies based on location, making it suitable for merchants who require customized pricing for different markets. The core difference lies in their primary function: Geolocation country redirect focuses on routing users correctly, while MLV Multi Country Pricing centers on tailored pricing per country. This suggests a potential integration between the two, with the Geolocation app directing users and the MLV app managing the product prices shown to those users.

Our Verdict
For merchants primarily concerned with directing international visitors to the correct country-specific store version without complex pricing considerations, Geolocation country redirect offers a seemingly straightforward solution. However, the low number of reviews means that its performance in 2026 needs to be validated with more recent data. If precise control over pricing in different markets is essential, MLV Multi Country Pricing is the more suitable option, especially given its larger user base and likely more comprehensive feature set. It's crucial to investigate the reasons behind the 4.4/5 rating to address any potential concerns. For maximum impact, consider using them in tandem: Geolocation redirect for the right store version, MLV for the right prices.
