Our Verdict
For Shopify merchants operating multiple storefronts targeting different countries, Geolocation country redirect is likely the more suitable choice. Its core function addresses the critical need of redirecting users to the appropriate regional store, potentially improving conversion rates and enhancing the overall user experience. The high rating suggests that it performs this function effectively.
On the other hand, RP ProMap ‑ Store Locator is the ideal solution for merchants with brick-and-mortar locations or those wanting to showcase their network of suppliers or stockists. It significantly enhances the online-to-offline customer journey by providing an interactive map, customizable store details, and easy directions to physical locations. While the rating is slightly lower, the sheer volume of reviews suggests broader usage and likely a feature-rich product. For merchants without physical locations or distinct international storefronts, RP ProMap ‑ Store Locator is irrelevant; the choice is strongly context-dependent.
