Geolocation & Markets—Selecty vs Promote Me | Many apps in onefor Shopify (2026)
Geolocation & Markets—Selecty and Promote Me | Many apps in one offer distinct approaches to enhancing the Shopify merchant experience. Selecty focuses squarely on geolocation and market adaptation for international sales. Its strength lies in providing a dedicated suite of tools to tailor the user experience based on location, including currency, language, and country selectors, alongside automatic redirects and market recommendations. This targeted approach is ideal for merchants serious about optimizing their international Shopify Markets and Global-e Managed Markets presence. In contrast, Promote Me takes a broader, 'jack-of-all-trades' approach, bundling a diverse set of 19+ features, including a Currency Converter and Geolocation Redirect, along with unrelated functionalities like a Wheel of Fortune, Quick Add to Cart, and a Copy Protection app. This makes it a multi-purpose tool, rather than specialized like Selecty.

Our Verdict
Geolocation & Markets—Selecty is the clear winner for Shopify merchants who have a strong emphasis on international sales and want to optimize their Shopify Markets and Global-e presence with tailored geolocation features. Its dedicated approach and higher review count suggest a more refined and effective solution for this specific need. Promote Me, however, is a viable option for stores seeking a multitude of general sales and engagement tools in a single app, particularly those on a tighter budget or those experimenting with different conversion strategies. But be aware it might sacrifice depth for breadth and is untested by a large number of users.
Common Questions
Which app is better for specifically managing multiple international stores?
Geolocation & Markets—Selecty explicitly mentions connecting multiple expansion stores, making it the superior option for merchants with multiple Shopify stores targeting different regions.
Which app is easier to set up and use?
While both apps have high ratings, the relative ease of use is speculative, but Selecty is likely easier to use if your focus is solely on geolocation, because it doesn't have the bloat of the extra apps in Promote Me.
Does Promote Me have better 'bang for your buck' because it offers more apps?
Not necessarily. While Promote Me offers more features, their relevance and quality may vary. If you only need a few of those features, Selecty's focused approach might offer better value for your specific needs.
If I already use another currency converter app, is Promote Me still worth it?
If you already have a currency converter you like, Promote Me's other features would have to be compelling enough to justify its installation, especially considering the limited number of reviews. Consider whether the other apps would significantly benefit your store.
Which app is better for stores not using Shopify Markets?
Promote Me could be considered as the app that is less reliant on having Shopify Markets set up. It is a general sales booster app, but Geolocation & Markets—Selecty will have less utility if your main sales target is domestic.
