Geolocation Redirects | xapps vs MLV Multi Country Pricingfor Shopify (2026)
Geolocation Redirects | xapps and MLV Multi Country Pricing both cater to international Shopify merchants, but they address different aspects of internationalization. Geolocation Redirects | xapps focuses on redirecting users to the appropriate version of a store based on their location, employing popups, top bars, and automatic redirects (client-side). Its primary strength lies in its redirection capabilities and SEO considerations, actively disabling redirects for web crawlers. Conversely, MLV Multi Country Pricing, as its name suggests, centers on offering multi-currency and potentially multi-lingual pricing, though the provided data doesn't explicitly state multilingual support. While Geolocation Redirects | xapps boasts a perfect 5-star rating, it has a significantly smaller number of reviews (22) compared to MLV Multi Country Pricing (413) and a lower rating. This suggests a potentially newer app or a niche functionality appealing to a smaller, highly satisfied audience. The xapps' app's strength lies in its use of Shopify GEO location service, SEO-friendly features, and customizable redirect widgets, making it ideal for merchants wanting to provide a localized experience from the moment a customer arrives on their store. MLV Multi Country Pricing has likely been around longer and its core focus is pricing based on the app's name.

Our Verdict
If a merchant's primary goal is to automatically direct customers to the correct regional version of their store, ensuring the right language and potentially region-specific products, Geolocation Redirects | xapps is the more suitable choice. Its SEO-friendly approach and customizable widgets allow for a tailored user experience. The 'DEV mode' suggests it's also dev-friendly. However, merchants who require robust multi-currency pricing features should opt for MLV Multi Country Pricing, understanding that automatic redirection is not a core function. The high number of reviews for MLV implies greater stability and feature depth.
Merchants could also choose to use both applications to benefit from both features - localized redirection, and localized pricing. This offers the optimal international experience for customers.
