GeoLocation+Currency Converter vs Link Redirect Managerfor Shopify (2026)
GeoLocation+Currency Converter and Link Redirect Manager, while both falling under the 'Geolocation' Shopify category, serve distinctly different purposes and target very different merchant needs. GeoLocation+Currency Converter focuses on personalizing the shopping experience based on the visitor's location. Its strength lies in automatically redirecting users to country or state-specific domains, offering multi-currency conversion, and blocking malicious IPs. The target audience is merchants seeking to enhance customer experience through localization and potentially combat fraudulent traffic. Link Redirect Manager, on the other hand, is geared toward merchants who have recently migrated their online store to Shopify from another platform. Its core function is to ensure that customers accessing old URLs are seamlessly redirected to the correct pages on the new Shopify store. Its key features include adding and uploading old and new URLs, primarily catering to merchants concerned with preserving SEO and preventing lost traffic during a store migration. The complete lack of reviews for Link Redirect Manager makes judging user satisfaction impossible.

Our Verdict
For merchants looking to create a personalized shopping experience by automatically redirecting customers to region-specific sites, offering multi-currency options, and implementing IP blocking, GeoLocation+Currency Converter is the clear choice, assuming the positive reviews accurately reflect the app's functionality. However, merchants must be prepared for the added complexity that comes with these features. Its lack of reviews is concerning, however.
If a merchant is solely focused on redirecting traffic from old URLs to their new Shopify store following a migration, Link Redirect Manager is the specifically designed tool for the job. However, the lack of reviews for Link Redirect Manager makes it a riskier choice. Given the absence of ratings and reviews for Link Redirect Manager, merchants should proceed with caution and thoroughly research alternatives before committing to this app.
