GetFiscal DatiFattura vs Tax Rex ‑ Sales Tax Automationfor Shopify (2026)
GetFiscal DatiFattura and Tax Rex ‑ Sales Tax Automation are Shopify apps that fall under the Finances and Taxes categories, but they cater to entirely different needs and geographies. GetFiscal DatiFattura focuses on collecting fiscal data (CF/P.IVA, PEC/SDI) specifically for Italian merchants needing to generate invoices and receipts compliant with Italian regulations. It integrates with other Italian accounting systems and aims to streamline the checkout process by capturing essential tax information directly from customers. Its key strength lies in its localized focus on Italian tax compliance. However, it currently lacks user reviews and a rating. Tax Rex, on the other hand, is targeted towards US-based Shopify merchants and automates US state sales tax reporting and filing. It offers features like nexus alerts and simplified state registration, which highlights its focus on helping merchants navigate the complexities of US sales tax laws. Tax Rex boasts a perfect 5/5 rating based on 91 reviews, suggesting a strong track record of user satisfaction. Its value proposition centers around saving time and ensuring accuracy in US sales tax compliance. The core difference between the apps is their geographical focus and the type of tax compliance they address: GetFiscal handles Italian invoice data collection, while Tax Rex manages US sales tax reporting and filing. Therefore, the choice between them depends entirely on where your business operates and which tax requirements you need to fulfill.

Our Verdict
The choice between GetFiscal DatiFattura and Tax Rex ‑ Sales Tax Automation hinges entirely on your geographical location and tax requirements. If your business operates in Italy and needs to collect fiscal data for invoicing, GetFiscal DatiFattura is the relevant app, though its lack of reviews is a significant consideration. Conversely, if your business operates in the United States and needs assistance with sales tax reporting and filing, Tax Rex is the clear choice, given its high rating, numerous positive reviews, and features tailored to US sales tax compliance.
Considering the absence of user feedback for GetFiscal DatiFattura, proceed with caution. While it addresses a specific need for Italian businesses, the lack of reviews introduces uncertainty about its functionality and reliability. Tax Rex, with its established reputation and focus on US sales tax, offers a more secure and proven solution for merchants operating within the United States. A trial of either app, if available, is strongly recommended.
