GG Quick View & Hover Slider vs SEO Speed Image Optimizerfor Shopify (2026)
In 2026, Shopify merchants choosing between GG Quick View & Hover Slider and SEO Speed Image Optimizer face distinct choices. GG Quick View & Hover Slider focuses on improving the on-site shopping experience by enhancing collection page visuals. It aims to reduce shopping time and improve customer engagement through features like image sliders, quick view popups with add-to-cart functionality, and mobile optimization for swiping product images. The app targets merchants who want to boost sales by making product browsing faster and more interactive. Conversely, SEO Speed Image Optimizer concentrates on improving a store's SEO performance and site speed by optimizing images. Its key features include image resizing while preserving quality, automated alt text optimization for enhanced search visibility, bulk image editing, and SEO image reports. This app caters to merchants who understand the importance of site speed and SEO for organic traffic and aim to improve their search engine rankings and user experience related to site loading times, not necessarily frontend shopping UX. While both apps enhance the visual aspect of a store, they target fundamentally different goals: conversion rate optimization versus SEO performance.

Our Verdict
For merchants primarily focused on improving their collection page's look and feel, enhancing customer experience, and streamlining the shopping process, GG Quick View & Hover Slider is the more suitable choice. It directly addresses the user interface and aims to boost conversion rates through visual appeal and ease of use on the collection page. The hover effects and Quick View popup allow customers to see products in detail and add them to the cart without navigating to individual product pages.
However, if a merchant is more concerned with the technical aspects of their online store, such as site speed, SEO, and organic search traffic, SEO Speed Image Optimizer is the better option. While it might not directly impact the visual appearance of the collection page, it ensures that images are optimized for search engines, contributing to a higher ranking and better overall store performance, which ultimately indirectly contributes to more sales. SEO Speed Image Optimizer is best for merchants who understand that optimized images enhance user experience through faster loading times and help with search engine ranking.
