Ghost Bundles Quantity Breaks vs Simply Shipping Protectionfor Shopify (2026)
Ghost Bundles Quantity Breaks and Simply Shipping Protection both fall under the 'Upsell and bundles - Other' Shopify categories, but they address fundamentally different needs for Shopify merchants. Ghost Bundles focuses on incentivizing larger purchases through quantity-based discounts, a tactic geared towards increasing average order value. Simply Shipping Protection, on the other hand, tackles the issue of shipping-related losses and customer dissatisfaction by offering a way for customers to insure their shipments, with the merchant retaining control of the entire process. This provides merchants with greater autonomy over claim resolution and revenue generated from shipping protection fees. The key distinction lies in their value propositions. Ghost Bundles aims to boost sales through strategic discounting, likely appealing to merchants with products suitable for bulk purchasing. Simply Shipping Protection focuses on risk mitigation and enhanced customer experience by offering a transparent and controllable shipping protection solution. The target audiences also differ significantly: Ghost Bundles is for merchants actively seeking to increase sales through quantity breaks, while Simply Shipping Protection is for those concerned about shipping losses and seeking a more hands-on approach to shipping protection than relying on third-party providers.

Our Verdict
The choice between Ghost Bundles Quantity Breaks and Simply Shipping Protection depends entirely on the merchant's priorities. If the goal is to increase average order value by encouraging larger purchases, Ghost Bundles Quantity Breaks is the more relevant option. However, the low number of reviews suggests it may be a newer or less widely adopted app, requiring more careful evaluation.
If the merchant is primarily concerned with mitigating shipping losses and maintaining control over shipping protection fees and claim resolution, Simply Shipping Protection is the clear winner. The higher number of reviews indicates greater adoption and potentially a more established user base, although its slightly lower rating should prompt further investigation into user feedback. Simply Shipping Protection particularly benefits merchants who want to cultivate customer loyalty and manage their brand experience even during the shipping process.
