Ghost Bundles Quantity Breaks vs SpurIT Upsell Email Marketingfor Shopify (2026)
Ghost Bundles Quantity Breaks and SpurIT Upsell Email Marketing, while both listed under the 'Upsell and bundles - Other' Shopify category, address distinct e-commerce growth strategies. Ghost Bundles focuses on optimizing on-site sales by incentivizing larger purchases through quantity breaks and bundle options. The app likely targets merchants seeking to increase average order value (AOV) by directly influencing customer purchasing decisions at the point of sale. SpurIT Upsell Email Marketing, conversely, emphasizes post-purchase engagement. It leverages email marketing automation to suggest relevant product upsells to customers after they have already completed a transaction, targeting merchants looking to nurture customer relationships and drive repeat purchases through personalized email campaigns. Therefore, one app is for optimizing on-site sales while the other is for optimizing post-purchase email sales. The key differentiator lies in their approach to increasing revenue. Ghost Bundles offers immediate gratification and purchase incentives, whereas SpurIT Upsell Email Marketing offers a long-term approach through targeted email communication. While Ghost Bundles aims to maximize the value of each transaction, SpurIT aims to maximize customer lifetime value. The choice between the two hinges on whether the merchant prioritizes on-site purchase optimization or long-term customer relationship management through automated email upselling.

Our Verdict
For merchants seeking immediate AOV increases and directly impacting purchasing decisions with bundle and quantity discounts at the point of sale, Ghost Bundles Quantity Breaks is the better choice. Its 5-star rating and focus on on-site optimization signals a strong, immediate impact on revenue. For merchants focusing on long-term customer relationship management and nurturing repeat purchases, SpurIT Upsell Email Marketing provides a more strategic, automated solution through personalized email campaigns. The SpurIT app is helpful if you sell a lot of products which would be good as complementary offers.
While the higher rating of Ghost Bundles is appealing, the lack of specified email design and report could be an issue for merchants who are serious about growing sales that way. For this use case, SpurIT offers the better, more complete solution, so long as you are ok with a slightly lower average rating.
