Our Verdict
Giftnote is the superior choice for larger businesses and Shopify Plus merchants seeking to fully automate and scale their gifting programs, including corporate gifting and multi-address shipments. Its robust integrations and focus on a branded, customized experience make it ideal for those with complex gifting needs. Ribbon, while promising, is better suited for smaller businesses primarily concerned with driving sales and introducing new customers to their brand through a novel product-gifting experience. Its focus on upselling during the redemption process can be an effective sales driver, but it lacks the advanced automation and scalability features of Giftnote. The number of reviews heavily favors Giftnote as the more proven and established solution.
