Gipht vs Selling Pointfor Shopify (2026)
Gipht and Selling Point, while both categorized under 'Gifts' on Shopify, address distinctly different needs within the gifting space. Gipht focuses on simplifying the *sending* of gifts, particularly for corporate clients, by removing the friction of requiring recipient addresses. It's positioned as a user-friendly solution for quickly launching bulk gifting campaigns. Selling Point, on the other hand, targets merchants migrating to Shopify or consolidating gift card systems. It's designed to streamline the *management* of existing gift card and store credit programs, offering bulk import and conversion functionalities. Gipht's strength lies in its ease of use and customer experience improvement by enabling gift sending via email or SMS without needing shipping addresses. This makes it ideal for businesses looking to increase sales by offering easy gifting options. Selling Point excels in migrating and managing large volumes of gift cards and store credits, which is crucial for merchants switching platforms or those with pre-existing offline gift card programs. One caters to sending, the other to migration and management. Each app has a very specific sweet spot and the choice between them depends on the core business need of the merchant. Although both apps currently have 5/5 star ratings, Selling Point has a significantly higher number of reviews (45) compared to Gipht (13), suggesting broader adoption and potentially more extensive real-world testing. This doesn't necessarily indicate superior quality, but rather greater exposure and usage. Ultimately, the decision hinges on whether a merchant prioritizes simplifying gift sending or managing/migrating existing gift card programs.

Our Verdict
For merchants looking to launch corporate gifting campaigns or enable easy gift-sending options for their customers without the hassle of collecting shipping addresses, Gipht is the clear choice. Its simplicity and focus on improving the customer experience make it ideal for driving sales through gifting. However, for merchants migrating to Shopify, switching POS systems, or struggling to manage a fragmented gift card ecosystem, Selling Point provides the necessary tools to consolidate and streamline their gift card programs. While Gipht focuses on new gift purchases, Selling Point handles the existing gift card infrastructure.
Given the higher number of reviews for Selling Point, merchants may find greater confidence in its reliability and proven performance. However, the simpler use case and direct revenue impact of Gipht may be preferable for many. Ultimately, consider the core problem you're trying to solve: sending gifts easily or managing existing gift cards.
